War correspondents try to lead a normal life in Civic play

Sarah and James have been a couple for about ten years. She is a photojournalist and he’s a foreign correspondent. They cover war, at times putting themselves in great danger to get the story. When a serious accident in Iraq leaves Sarah critically injured they return home so she can recover and to see if they can live a more normal life.

'Give and Take Away': A dance about relationships

Wellspring: Cori Terry & Dancers will premiere their spring concert PULL. PULL features two dances the troupe performed in their fall concert PUSH, as well as two new pieces. Performances will be held at the Kalamazoo Epic Center’s Wellspring Theatre April 18-20 at 8 p.m. and April 21 at 2 p.m.

Retiree finds new joy in the tuba, despite bad memories

“I didn’t play my horn for a long time because I just got burned out, played too many funerals,” says Kalamazoo tuba player George Forrester Sr. He plays with the Kalamazoo Concert Band. Their concert, “Through the Eyes of a Child” will be performed Saturday at 7:30 p.m. in Cheney Auditorium.

Amour: A film about true devotion

You can see Amour at Western Michigan University’s Little Theatre. The first showing is Friday night at 7.
