Galilee Baptist Church will Thanksgiving food baskets on Saturday

KALAMAZOO, MI - Members of Galilee Baptist Church will distribute 100 Thanksgiving food baskets this Saturday to help families in need have a happier holiday. Producing and distributing Thanksgiving baskets, with everything a family needs for a full meal, has been a project of the church's Outreach Ministry and its Christian Women's Support Ministry since the early 1990s.

Food truck regulations debated in Battle Creek

The food truck debate rolls on. Passions ran high on both sides as city officials met with restaurant owners and residents on Thursday night to discuss proposals that would allow food trucks in downtown Battle Creek. The city is working on making changes to ordinances to allow mobile vending in the central business district, the only area of town where the trucks are prohibited.

State Senator Gretchen Whitmer says she won't run for statewide office next year

"I'm honored by the support of all the Democrats here," Taylor, 35, said after being elected.
