Vicksburg Village Council denies its operating illegally without a village manager

VICKSBURG, MI - Members of the Vicksburg Village Council and a village attorney say the council is not illegally operating the government because it has failed to hire a village manager. The claim that the council was not following village ordinances by declining to hire a village manager was made by former Village President Christina Klok two weeks ago, and was refuted by several at Monday's Vicksburg council meeting.

Battle Creek Public Schools cut $2.2-million, will finalize budget next week

Federal officials to open disaster loan office in Grand Rapids
