The Western Michigan women's basketball team will be the No. 7 seed in the 2014 Mid-American Conference Tournament, following a 59-51 loss at Northern Illinois Saturday. The Broncos will host No. 10 seed Miami in a first round game Monday at University Arena, at 7 p.m.

Benton Harbor to Return to Local Control

LANSING, MI -- Benton Harbor's long financial emergency is finally over. That's according to Emergency Manager Tony Saunders II, who issued what he expects to be his final order on Friday. Saunders notified Michigan Gov. Rick Snyder of the pending action on Thursday and recommended state appointment of a transition advisory board to oversee the return to local control.

News Conference Friday on Battle Creek Police Investigation
