ALBION - Dan Bishop, Albion city manager for less than two years, has been fired. City council members voted 5-2 Monday night to terminate Bishop's employment after holding a closed-door session "regarding a complaint against the city manager," according to a news release from the city of Albion.

KALAMAZOO, MI -- Members of the Kalamazoo City Commission approved a contract Monday with a recent city retiree for plumbing and mechanical inspections. City commissioners approved the two-year contract with State Approved Inspection Services LLC for plumbing and mechanical inspections in an amount not to exceed $187,000.
