Michigan Senate Considering $100-million to Repair Roads Damaged by Winter

The state Senate is considering a proposal to inject $100 million immediately into local and state roads to help deal with an especially brutal winter. The Senate Appropriations committee got the road rescue ball rolling Tuesday morning, offering an amendment to a supplemental budget bill that would put $100 million into state, county, township and village road funds.

Interim City Manager Named in Battle Creek

More snow days mean shorter summer vacation

KALAMAZOO, MI -- Kalamazoo and Portage school officials say they'll be making up snow days at the end of the school year, as they face the largest number of school cancellations in recent memory. Schools across southwest Michigan cancelled classes today because of yet another snowstorm.

KALAMAZOO, MI -- The Kalamazoo City Commission on Monday voted to approve a proposal to ban dogs from city-owned Milham Park Golf Course. The ordinance amendment prohibits dogs on the golf course, which is popular for cross-country skiers in the winter and golfers in the summer.

Battle Creek Commission to Vote on Separation Agreement With City Manager Tuesday
