Live traps set for snowy owls at Ford Airport in Grand Rapids after 9 shot by staff

GRAND RAPIDS, MI -- Live traps to catch snowy owls are now in place at Gerald R. Ford Airport after staff was forced to shoot nine owls in the last two months as an aircraft safety precaution. Since early December, snowy owls have shown up in force all across West Michigan and the Midwest.

Battle Creek officials recommend cutting transit services
