Glass Art Kalamazoo presents Summer Glass Camp 2018! Designed for students ages 10-18, this exciting week-long experience introduces campers to a range of hands-on glass making processes including Glass Blowing, Lampworking, Bead Making, and Kiln Fusing. No previous glass art experience necessary. Sign up with a friend, or make one here… you will be talking about summer glass camp all year! Campers will explore at least 2 different methods of glass manipulation each day culminating in a final exhibition juried by our resident artists and instructors. Student work will be displayed in our studios during events on the Friday evening following camp with awards for excellence in Glass Art. Projects will include paperweights, bead creatures, fused plates and portraits, borosilicate animals and pendants, and finish up with the Glass Olympics on the last morning of camp. Water, snacks, and a camp t-shirt will be included; however you will need to provide a lunch for your camper.
