Both have to do with food and farming.</p><p>One is <em>The American Way of Eating: Undercover at Walmart, Appleby's, Farm Fields and the Dinner Table</em> by Tracie McMillan. The other is Novella Carpenter's <em>Farm City: The Education of an Urban Farmer</em>. Esquire Magazine named it the book of the year, and NPR called it one of the year’s top ten.
