Many Still Without Power After Storms

Many in southwest Michigan are still without power after severe storms moved through the area last night.

Consumers Energy says about 20,000 customers are still without power in Calhoun County Tuesday afternoon. Power is also out for more than 5800 customers in Kalamazoo County and more than 1600 in Saint Joseph County.

State Steps Up Drunk Driving Patrols

The Michigan State Police will send out extra patrols this week and next to crack down on drunk driving around the Fourth of July holiday.

The MSP says motorists can expect stepped-up enforcement of drunk-driving laws in 26 counties around the state. That includes Allegan, Berrien, Kalamazoo, Calhoun, Jackson and Van Buren counties in southwest Michigan.
