Sierra Club critical of Snyder's record on environmental issues

LANSING - Michigan's Sierra Club has given Gov. Rick Snyder a failing grade for his performance on environmental issues during his first three years in office. In a news release today, the Michigan chapter of the Sierra Club said Snyder scored 22% for his actions related to energy, the environment, good government and related issues.

Former state treasurer Andy Dillon continues to draw state salary

Former state treasurer Andy Dillon is earning the same state salary as an adviser more than two months after resigning his position over family issues. Dillon is serving as senior adviser to state Treasurer Kevin Clinton a position that pays him the same annual salary of $174,204, according to Michigan Department of Treasury spokesman Terry Stanton.

KALAMAZOO, MI - Chris Wahmhoff, an Occupy Kalamazoo organizer and the man who protested from inside an Enbridge Inc. pipe earlier this summer, has announced he will run the U.S. Senate in 2014. Wahmhoff, 35, plans to run for the seat currently occupied by longtime Democratic Senator Carl Levin, who has announced he will retire when his term expires at the end of 2014.
