Garden Ridge store to move in to former Kmart location in Kalamazoo

KALAMAZOO, MI -- The former Kmart store location at Stadium Drive and Drake Road will become the home of a Garden Ridge store by early next year. The Texas-based home-décor and accessories chain has signed a long-term lease for the 87,000-square-foot space in the University Commons retail center and started interior renovation work more than a week ago, according to property owner Treystar development company.

KALAMAZOO, MI - Kalamazoo-based digital advertising firm Biggs|Gilmore will become part of global marketing and advertising agency VML. Kansas City-based VML is a 21-year-old company that has offices in 23 locations on six continents. It announced its acquisition of Biggs|Gilmore but terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
