Michigans two-decade-old law preventing landfills from taking yard waste is under review this week the latest attempt to roll back a policy designed to maximize dump space and increase composting. The state Senates Energy and Technology Committee heard testimony Tuesday on 1994 legislation that barred grass, twigs and leaves from being dumped in landfills along with regular household waste.
