Snyder's State of State Address to include plans for education and budget surplus

YPSILANTI, Mich.- Four players scored in double figures for Western Michigan, but it wasn't enough as Eastern Michigan defeated the Broncos, 83-77. WMU trailed by three at halftime, 39-36, and was also outscored by three in the second half in the six-point loss.

WMU named one of best in nation for helping foster care youth

The Center for the Study of Social Policy (CSSP) chose WMU's Center for Fostering Success as one of 15 programs "making a critical difference" for foster care youth in the United States.

West Michigan food bank serves record number of people

Despite the growing economic recovery in Michigan, many people still do not have enough to eat, according to figures from Feeding America West Michigan Food Bank.The food charity last year supplied 25.6 million pounds of groceries and household goods, which translates into 20 million meals - almost 10 percent more than provided in 2012.
