Calhoun County officials defend plowing performance

Despite complaints, the supervisor of the Calhoun County Road Department is pleased with his office's snow plowing performance this week.'Overall, I'm quite happy with what we got accomplished with the amount of snow, with the winds blowing like they were and then the frigid temperatures,' Jerry Peterson, the department's managing director, said Friday.

ATHENS, Ohio- Ohio snapped Western Michigan's three-game winning streak, defeating the Broncos, 70-53, Sunday. WMU struggled offensively, shooting 35.2 percent from the floor and connecting on just 12 of 25 free throw attempts. Junior A.J. Johnson scored a team-high 11 points for WMU. Michelle O'Brien totaled 10 points and seven rebounds.

Snyder to seek money for roads, reforms for school and no-fault insurance

Protests ahead of Detroit Auto Show
