KALAMAZOO, MI - As the number of people without power continues to dwindle in Southwest Michigan, shelters for those affected by the Sunday's storm have closed. All of the remaining American Red Cross shelters in West Michigan have closed, the agency said.

ALAMO TOWNSHIP, MI - Petitions have been filed to recall Alamo Township Supervisor Lou Conti and Trustee Dawn Potter-Williams after what has been a tumultuous first year for the township board under Conti's leadership. Petitions to recall Conti and Potter-Williams were filed Thursday with Kalamazoo County Clerk Tim Snow -- exactly one year after the supervisor and the current board were elected.
