FBI Raids Barry County Sheriff's Office

HASTINGS - Federal authorities have executed a search warrant at the office of the Barry County Sheriff Department. David Porter, a spokesman for the Federal Bureau of Investigation in Detroit, confirmed that FBI agents assisted the Department of Justice Office of Inspector General in the execution of search warrant on Wednesday.

Michigan Lawmakers Approve $215-Million for Road Repair, Construction

LANSING, MI -- A compromise supplemental spending plan advancing through the Michigan Legislature includes $100 million to help state and local road agencies fill potholes this spring and another $115 million for infrastructure construction projects. The deal, finalized late Tuesday after negotiations between the House, Senate and governor's office, was approved around noon Wednesday by a six-member conference committee.
