Long-time city of Holland Attorney Andy Mulder is stepping down - sort of.Mulder told the Holland City Council on Wednesday that he is shifting his focus away from city of Holland business to focus solely on Holland Board of Public Works business, particularly "getting that gas plant on line by 2016," referring to the BPW's planned natural gas power plant that will be built in the Fairbanks Avenue and Fifth Street area of the city.

Lansing The Michigan Legislature on Wednesday sent Gov. Rick Snyder a $15.7 billion spending bill for public education that includes across-the-board increases in state funding for K-12 schools, community colleges and universities.
