Klay Woodworth began his time with WMUK in 1990 as a classical music host and weekend operator.  Over the years, Klay took over the supervision of daily operations and was named Program Director for WMUK in 2000. Klay is an active musician and avid pedestrian.

Robbie Lawrence/Gilmore Keyboard Festival

Pianist Igor Levit has been named the recipient of the 2018 Gilmore Artist Award. The Award was announced today by Daniel R. Gustin, Director of the Irving S. Gilmore International Keyboard Festival.

On March 1, Intelligence2 Debates will offer a program on charter schools.  Gary Miron, Professor in Evaluation, Measurement, and Research at Western Michigan University, will be arguing for the motion “Charter Schools are Overrated.”

Judith Anne Still is the daughter of composer William Grant Still and librettist/publicist Verna Arvey.


WMUK will host StoryCorp's OutLoud Initiative in Kalamazoo on November 5, 6 and 7.  The StoryCorps Outloud Initiative is designed to capture the stories of members of the LGBTQ community.  If you and someone you know are interested in recording your story for OutLoud, you can find information about registration through the Kalamazoo Gay Lesbian Resource Center website.
