Another Poll Shows Close Race for Governor

Wikimedia Commons

Public Policy Polling says its final survey of Michigan's governor's race shows it is extremely close.

The poll shows Republican Governor Rick Snyder with a 46% to 45% lead  over Democratic challenger Mark Schauer. But PPP finds that when voters "leaning" toward one candidate or another, and those considering minor party candidates are factored in the race is virtually tied. The survey has a margin of error of +/- 3.2%.

The Public Policy Polling survey shows Democratic Congressman Gary Peters with a 13-point lead over former Republican Secretary of State Terri Lynn Land in the race for U.S. Senate. It also finds Republican Attorney General Bill Schuette with a ten-point lead over Democrat Mark Totten and Republican Secretary of State Ruth Johnson with an eight-point lead over Democrat Godfrey Dillard.
