Benton Harbor Schools Superintendent Resigns

Benton Harbor Schools Superintendent Leonard Seawood has resigned more than five months after he was suspended for unspecified reasons.

The St. Joseph Benton Harbor Herald-Palladium reports that members of the Benton Harbor School Board announced last night that the two sides have reached a mutual agreement. No other details were released, including whether Seawood will be paid for the balance of his contract. School Board President Sharon James says the search for a new superintendent will begin soon.
