The life of former Western Michigan University President Elson Floyd will be celebrated in an event Friday on campus.
Floyd served as Western’s President from 1998 to 2003 before moving on to the University of Missouri. He was president of Washington State University from 2007 until his death June 20th after a battle with cancer. Floyd was 59 years old. The celebration event at the Dalton Center Recital Hall begins at 4:00 Friday afternoon.
