Candidates Attention Turns To Michigan's March 8th Primary

(MPRN-Lansing) After the Super Tuesday states, presidential candidates turn their attention to the next round of primaries – including Michigan’s in one week on March 8.

Expect the pace of candidate visits and the barrage of campaign advertising to pick up now. Republicans John Kasich and Marco Rubio have both scheduled campaign swings prior to the Thursday night GOP debate in Detroit.

Kasich, in particular, has staked his future on a respectable showing in Michigan before the vote the following week in Ohio, where he serves as governor.

Republican frontrunner Donald Trump also has events scheduled later this week in Macomb County and Cadillac.

Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders has scheduled a rally Wednesday evening at Michigan State University. He and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton are to engage in a debate between the Democratic candidates Sunday in Flint.
