Community Healing Centers of Kalamazoo seeking $1.5-million through capital campaign
Community Healing Centers CEO Sally Reames says there's "a lot of things that duct tape can no longer hold together."
Reames says the Community Healing Centers hopes to raise $1.5-million through its Healing Families: Mending Broken Hearts Capital Campaign by October first. The non-profit organization treats people for addiction and mental illness. About three-quarters of the goal has been raised.
Reames told WMUK's Gordon Evans that Community Healing Centers needs to make many repairs to its facilities. She says they also hope to convert to electronic records. Reames says that would free up room needed to treat patients.
The need for a capital campaign reflects a demand for Community Healing Centers services. Reames says it can also be attributed to growing awareness about mental illness and addiction.
