Cruz Tells Kalamazoo He's Not Going to "Fiddle Around the Edges"

WMUK

Senator Ted Cruz brought his campaign for President to Kalamazoo Monday.

The Texas Republican promised to scrap the nuclear deal with Iran and repeal "Obamacare." Cruz says the nation should have a “flat tax” that would allow for the IRS to be abolished. The Senator said – somewhat “tongue in cheek” that IRS agents could be sent to the southern border of the United States.

Cruz told the audience that if they’re looking for someone who will just “fiddle around the edges,” then he is not the candidate for them. But the Texas Senator and "tea party" favorite says he will bring power out of Washington and "back to we the people."

Cruz told supporters that the country is ready for another conservative revolution like in 1980. He says Michigan is a good place to start, since it is the home of the “Reagan Democrats” who helped elect Ronald Reagan President that year. Cruz told reporters afterward that Michigan will be an important state in the Republican nominating process. The state will hold its Presidential primary March 8th.
