Flooding Damages St. Joseph Heritage Musuem, But Not Archives

Officials with the Heritage Museum and Cultural Center in St. Joseph say flooding last week damaged interior walls, floors and offices on three levels. But the museum’s archival storage space did not suffer any damage.

A news release from the Heritage Museum says a few artifacts on exhibit were damaged and will be restored. The flood was caused by a HVAC boiler above the upper galleries.

The building in St. Joseph will be closed until further notice. Upcoming events have been cancelled or moved to other locations.
