The Miró Quartet plays Schubert. They play Beethoven. But they also collaborate with celebrated percussionist Colin Currie, in a fresh program that includes classics but also new works written for the unusual combination of quartet and percussion. Cara Lieurance speaks with cellist Josh Gindele from Austin, Texas, where the quartet serves on the faculty of the Butler School of Music at the University of Texas at Austin. Their Fontana performance is Saturday at the Dalton Center Recital Hall, WMU.
