Kalamazoo State Representative Jon Hoadley is among 14 people from Michigan appointed to a state advisory committee by the U.S. Civil Rights Commission.
Hoadley was elected to represent the 60th state House District in November. He is one of two openly gay members in the state House. A news release from the Civil Rights Commission says the State Advisory Committee will meet soon to consider its plans and priorities. Members are appointed for two year terms.
