Kalamazoo Boil Water Advisory Canceled

The City released this statement Tuesday afternoon:

"August 23, 2016, Kalamazoo, Michigan – As of Tuesday, August 23, 2016, at 2:30 PM, the precautionary boil water advisory issued August 21, 2016 has been lifted by the City of Kalamazoo, in cooperation with the Kalamazoo County Health and Community Services Department. Citizens in the affected area from the Winchell Avenue main break, generally described as Tipperary Road to the west, Benjamin Avenue to the north, Oakland Drive to the east, and Winchell Avenue to the south can now use City water for consumption as well as all other purposes. Bacteriological sampling within the affected area verified that the water is safe to drink."
