Kalamazoo Junior Symphony Focuses On 'Symphonic Evolution'

Conductor Andrew Koehler talks about the season-opening concert of the Kalamazoo Junior Symphony Orchestra, set for Sunday at 4 pm in Chenery Auditorium. He tells Cara Lieurance that he has designed a program that shows how the symphony transitioned from a pre-curtain hors-d'ouvre to the opera to the main dish of most orchestral programs.

Cara Lieurance is the local host of NPR's All Things Considered on 1021 WMUK and covers local arts & culture on Let's Hear It on 89.9 Classical WMUK weekday mornings at 10 - 11 am.
