Kalamazoo Singers Make Merry At 40

https://www.facebook.com/kalamazoosingers/

Music director Rick Phelps says that the Kalamazoo Singers holiday concert, called "Candlelight Reflections," is not subdued or serious. Instead, it is a trip down memory lane for the choir, which is celebrating its 40th anniversary this season.

In a conversation with Cara Lieurance, Phelps says he found inspiration by poring over four decades of holiday programs by the Kalamazoo Singers, which was founded by Mel Ivey in 1976.

The Kalamazoo Singers perform at First Presbyterian Church of Kalamazoo on Saturday, December 10 at 7 pm. More information is available at the Kalamazoo Singers website
