May 9, 2018

Voters in the Kalamazoo and Gull Lake school districts have approved school bond requests.

KPS made the largest request in district history. Results from Tuesday’s election show the $96.7-million dollar proposal passed with about 70% of the vote. About 54% of voters in the Gull Lake district approved a $64-million proposal to pay for improvements such as security upgrades and additional technology.

A millage proposal to pay for a 911 emergency dispatch system in St. Joseph County was narrowly approved. Unofficial results show it passing by 41 votes.
