Labor Contracts on WMU Trustees' Agenda

WMUK

Western Michigan University’s Board of Trustees meets tomorrow. The trustees are set to consider whether to approve a three-year contract with the university’s faculty union.

The American Association of University Professors voted to accept the contract a few weeks ago, just before the old one ran out. If the trustees approve it, the AAUP contract would raise wages by two percent this academic year and the next, and by three-percent in the third.

The Board will also consider an agreement with a union that represents theater workers at WMU.
