Meet 2014 Gilmore Young Artist Llewellyn Sanchez-Werner

Llewellyn Sanchez-Werner, one of two outstanding young pianists singled out for the Gilmore Young Artist award in 2014, talks to Cara Lieurance about his Gilmore Festival performances in concerto and solo recital appearances.

They also discuss the power of music as a tool for crossing cultural boundaries and furthering social justice. Mr. Sanchez-Werner relates his experience as a student of the Juilliard School, and his surprise at discovering he was selected for the Gilmore Young Artist award.
