Michigan's unemployment rate was unchanged in June. A news release from the Department of Management, Technology and Budgetsaid the seasonally adjusted jobless rate remained at 7.5%.
The state reported that total employment declined slightly last month, while the number of unemployed edged upward. Michigan's unemployment rate remains above the national average, which was 6.1% last month. The state's jobless rate was 8.9% in June of last year.
