New judges in Kalamazoo and Paw Paw

Governor Rick Snyder has announced two judicial appointments for Southwest Michigan.

The governor’s office says he has appointed former Kalamazoo County Assistant Prosecutor Scott Pierangeli to the Kalamazoo County Probate Court. He will replace Donald Halstead who resigned this past summer.

The governor also announced that attorney Jeffrey Dufon of Kalamazoo will serve as a judge on the 36th District Circuit Court in Van Buren County. He replaces Judge Paul Hamre, who retired this summer.
