New Polls Show Tighter Race for Governor

Wisconsin Public Radio

With a week to go before Election Day, two new polls show a close race for governor of Michigan.

A survey conducted by the Glengariff  Group for the Detroit News and Detroit television station WDIV shows Republican Governor Rick Snyder with a lead of about six points over Democratic challenger Mark Schauer. A YouGov poll conducted for CBS and the New York Times gives Schauer a one point lead. The Real Clear Politics average of recent polls gives Snyder a lead of 3.4%.
