A new season unveiled by Kalamazoo Symphony maestro Harvey
The new season of the Kalamazoo Symphony Orchestra was announced this week. Music director Raymond Harvey chose a personal favorite, Rachmaninoff's second symphony, to start his fifteenth year as maestro of the KSO.
The two featured composers whose lives will be told in story and music in the series The World of are Benjamin Britten and Franz Schubert. Maestro Harvey will also continue the KSO Pops! series. Highlights include trumpet player Chris Botti, a program of Andrew Lloyd Webber, and a holiday concert, "Sounds of the Season."
