Unemployment rates have dropped in both the Kalamazoo and Battle Creek labor markets over the last year.
The Michigan Department of Management, Technology and Budget says the jobless rate in the Kalamazoo Labor market was 3.9% in October. That’s one-percent lower than the unemployment rate was in Kalamazoo and Van Buren Counties was in October of last year.
The Battle Creek labor market’s jobless rate was 4.3%. Calhoun County’s unemployment rate was 5.1% in October of 2014.
