Paw Paw couple arrives in Kenya, prepares to help monitor elections

Joe and Kathy Ossman's blog

A Paw Paw couple has arrived in Kenya where they will be helping to monitor elections. Joe and Kathy Ossman arrived safely in Lumakanda, according to their blog

Update: The Ossmans have updated their blog and report many problems with the primary election held in January. Those problems include missing ballots, polls not opening on time and fraud.

Back in September they spoke with WMUK's Gordon Evans about their mission to Kenya. Elections in Kenya are scheduled to be held March 4th. The International Crisis Group has prepared a report on the elections and the risk of violence.

Gordon Evans became WMUK's Content Director in 2019 after more than 20 years as an anchor, host and reporter. A 1990 graduate of Michigan State, he began work at WMUK in 1996.
