Gilmore Keyboard Festival

Polish Pianist Rafal Blechacz has been named the 2014 Gilmore Artist.

The 28 year old came to international attention in 2005 by winning the Chopin Competition in Warsaw, placing first in five categories. Blechacz won first prize so definitively that no second prize was awarded.

The Gilmore Artist Award is presented every four years. Blechacz will receive $300,000 to support his musical and career goals.
