Power outages throughout Southwest Michigan

Strong storms have left thousands of people without power in Southwest Michigan Thursday morning.

Consumers Energy has reported more than 8,000 customers without service. Midwest Energy Cooperative says more than 2,000 of its customers don't have electricity. Indiana and Michigan Powerreports more than 16,ooo customers in both Michigan and northern Indiana don't have power. 

All three providers report a large number of outages in Van Buren County, but there are outages throughout the region.
