Report: Courser and Gamrat "Deceitful"

A special committee will look into expulsion or some other disciplinary action against state representatives Todd Courser and Cindy Gamrat.

The findings of an internal House review released this afternoon say they misused their offices to cover up an extra-marital affair, and for other personal political purposes. After the report was released Monday afternoon, State House Speaker Kevin Cotter called on Courser and Gamrat to resign. If they don't he says the special committee will meet Tuesday morning in Lansing.

The six-member panel includes four Republicans and two Democrats.

The report by the House Business Office found what it called "deceptive, deceitful, and outright dishonest" conduct by Courser and Gamrat.
