Report Finds West Michigan's Economy Remains "Surprisingly Strong"

Surprisingly strong. That's the assessment of west Michigan's economy in a new report. 

Grand Valley State University's Brian Long says business in the region reported very positive numbers during the last half of April.

Long surveys companies in the region each month for the Institute for Supply Management. Last month may have been positive. But Long says long- and short-term expectations by business leaders in the region are not as positive as they were last time.
