Snyder Vetoes "E-Cigarette" Bills

WMUK

Governor Rick Snyder has vetoed three bills regulating the sale of e-cigarettes.

In a news release, the governor says the legislation doesn't go far enough to regulate the devices. Snyder says it's important that electronic cigarettes and any other tool containing nicotine are regulated in the best interest of public health.

The bills vetoed by the governor would have prohibited the sale of e-cigarettes to minors. Snyder says he wants electronic cigarettes treated like tobacco products.
