South Haven City Council To Consider Rental Ordinance

South Haven’s Planning Commission has approved a new ordinance to govern rental properties in the city. It now goes to the city council.

The St. Joseph Benton Harbor Herald-Palladium reports that the proposed changes would require all rentals to be registered with the city.

Occupancy would be capped at 16 adults. The city council will introduce the ordinance at its next meeting on April 11th. A public hearing will be held on April 18th.
