Kalamazoo County Commissioners get a chance to meet with White House officials. A vacancy is filled on the Harper Creek School Board. A whistle blower lawsuit against Flint's mayor is dismissed in federal court. 

Three Kalamazoo County commissioners were in Washington this week to meet with officials at the White House. They were among commissioners from 23 Michigan counties invited to speak with officials from President Donald Trump's administration. The Kalamazoo officials say they hope the meeting will improve lines of communication with federal agencies. (Kalamazoo Gazette)

The Harper Creek School board has chosen a resident of the district who works in data governance for Stryker to fill a vacancy on the board. Tina McNeil will replace Gary Lincoln who resigned after 13 years on the school board. (Battle Creek Enquirer)

A federal judge has dismissed a whistle blower lawsuit against Flint’s mayor. Karen Weaver still faces another whistle blower lawsuit filed by a former city official. She is the subject of a recall campaign in Flint. (Detroit News)

Battle Creek beat Wisconsin Rapids 7-4. The Bombers play at Lakeshore Thursday night, they will complete a game started in June, Battle Creek will then play a seven inning game against the Chinooks. (Battle Creek Bombers
