An attack at the airport in Flint is being investigated as an act of terrorism. Battle Creek State Representative John Bizon is running for state Senate. Lawmakers from Michigan and other Great Lakes states want to force the release of a report on slowing Asian Carp's path into the Great Lakes. 

The FBI says it is investigating the stabbing of a police officer at an airport in Flint as an act of terrorism. Lt. Jeff Neville survived the stabbing. The suspect, 50 year old Amor Ftouhi of Canada was taken into custody and charged with committing a violent act at an airport. (Detroit Free Press)

State Representative John Bizon will run for state Senate next year. The Battle Creek Republican is in his second term in the state House. He will seek the state Senate seat currently held by fellow Republican Mike Nofs. Nofs cannot run again because of term limits. (Battle Creek Enquirer

Legislation has been introduced in Congress that would force the Trump administration to release a report on slowing Asian Carp from reaching the Great Lakes. A bi-partisan group of lawmakers from Michigan, and other states in the Great Lakes region, is pushing the legislation. (Detroit News

Holland's city manager has resigned. The city council accepted Ryan Cotton's resignation on Wednesday, it's effective June 30th. Cotton requested an employee evaluation in closed session, which took place June 14th and 19th. (Holland Sentinel
