A stay is issued on a request for subpoenas by the attorney for a former state lawmaker. Harper Creek School Board members will interview candidates for a vacancy Tuesday. The Bombers are swept in a double header, the Growlers have won three straight. 

A judge has issued a stay on subpoenas requested by former State Representative Todd Courser. One was intended to see if the judge in the case had been bribed, although Courser's attorney did not present evidence of a bribe. (Detroit News

Five people have applied to fill a vacancy on the Harper Creek School Board. Interview will be held during a special meeting on Tuesday. Gary Lincoln resigned in July to raise private funds for a recreation facility. (Battle Creek Enquirer
