Former Calhoun County Commissioner Jim Haadsma makes another run for state House. Attorney General Bill Schuette calls on Michigan State University to release more information on gymnastics doctor Larry Nassar. WMU's Thomas Wilder is the MAC West Division men's basketball player of the week. 

Former Calhoun County Commissioner Jim Haadsma is running again for state House. The Democrat will run for the seat currently held by Republican John Bizon, who is running for state Senate. Republican Pennfield Township Supervisor Dave Morgan is also running running for the 62nd district seat that includes Battle Creek. (Battle Creek Enquirer

Michigan Attorney General Bill Schuette says Michigan State University should release results of an internal investigation into gymnastics doctor Larry Nassar. The doctor who also worked by the U.S. Gymnastics team has plead guilty to charges of first degree criminal sexual conduct. (Detroit News)

Western Michigan University senior guard Thomas Wilder has been named the Mid-American Conference West Division player of the week. Wilder averaged 20 points in two Bronco games last week. (WMU Athletics
